GORC Park — Attraction in Maryland

Amazing renovation to the playground area but why the heck are all the swings so short- as in the top of three swings are 6” above my head so the swings travel a very short distance. Literally the swings travel about 5 feet forwards and back because the chains are like 4 feet long. This makes for a very short and jerky motion. What happened to the good swings that were maybe 20 feet tall that had huge swing distance? These were much more fun and enjoyable.

This park needs some love. I took my kids and they really enjoyed themselves. But they are kids and would be happy at any park but this park is run down. There are two out of the four swings completely unusable. They are literally wrapped around the pole. The paint is chipping away, it was quite dirty to be completely honest. I believe the only positive point about the whole experience is the side trails are nice and wide. Again I wouldn’t recommend for the park but...

Nice jogging trail with lots of parking. The trail is a little hilly so you get a nice workout. There is a small unpaved trail that goes along a gully that's about 30ft deep in spots. Very beautiful! The park itself has a couple of basket ball courts, 2 baseball diamonds, and a football field. There is also a kids park. You'll see lots of people bring their dogs here. But no poop bags.
