Hello, I have a serious complaint regarding this park and possibly other parks around AA County. I went here with my son yesterday (03/07/2021) from 2:30pm - 4pm. We would have stayed longer but by the time I left, I was fed up. No ONE in that park was wearing a mask, I wish I was being dramatic or had taken a photo but not only was NO ONE wearing a mask, there was no park ranger or state trooper in sight making sure protocol was being followed, my son who is SIX with DOWN SYNDROME wore his mask with no issues the ENTIRE TIME, AND on top of that by the time it was 4pm there were so many bodies in that playground, i'm sure it was health hazard. I saw snotty babies, parents eating food talking with their mouths wide open near the playground equipment; luckily my son wanted to be in the swing majority of the time and I was witness to all these as I pushed him. With the summer and hotter days coming in; a ranger or maybe hire someone to stand at the entrance and keep count of the amount of children and bodies entering the playground. My main concern were the masks, the least that can be done to truly ensure everyone's safety and that should mean a park ranger drive by every so often and ask folks to wear a mask when they see someone without one IN THE PLAYGROUND, I understand this rule may not be valid if they are roaming the park or under gazebos with familiar people but what i saw yesterday was a bit disgusting and does not make me feel safe with Spring and Summer around the corner. After being stuck inside for a year, a simple "just don't come here" doesn't justify or excuse this. thank you. (this was copied and submitted to AA Co recreational...

This is a beautiful places to have children burthday parties, the only thing i didn't like is that, you have tomrent the pavillion, which i feel the 1st come 1st get it. Because we hadnsmall children and some older people, who really should not of been in the sun. The older gentleman had to go seat in his son's truck and miss part of the party. I alsomfeel it ahould been more trash cans around, and hire people to make sure the grills are clean, and clean the area around the tables, after other people leave, when we went last yr we had to clean the grill and tables, and the ground area around it, i seen some dog poop. I like the swing and slide area, but the ahould have some smaller swing for little children, like under a 1 yr old, and have more activities for adults, like skully where you can take a milk cap or a bottle cap and go from 1 to 10, in different spots, hop scotch, . But over all it was beautiful, enjoy the trail walk, maybe a more of a fishing area . But inwant to thank them for having bathrooms , i think theynshould of have a canteen area, like say if you were there for a day to spemd time with your children, where u can get a ice cream, freeze pops, or anow balls, hot dogs, hamburgers, cotton candy or water & pepsi, coke, sprit, 7up, ginger ale, other drinks. No achol. Big beautiful. Might be a nice place to have...

It's a pretty decent park to take the kids to play, have a cookout or just shoot the breeze and walk the trails. For the most part the restrooms have been very clean any time I've visited. Great place to go play ball as well. Not sure if anyone has mentioned before but there are 3 pavilions you can rent for events or a special occasion. There's one large pavilion and two smaller ones. The large called Blue Jay is right by the playground. The two smaller ones the Goldfinch and Chickadee are side by side in the wooded area on the lake side of the park. I'll be having my baby shower here in June so I'll give an updated review then according to my experience. I'll be adding a few pics of the Chickadee pavilion below. I hate that they don't have photos of the pavilions for you to see before renting. So figured I'd help out. There are 8 tables and 3 grills to each small pavilion. When you go on there site they mislead you to think each small pavilion is only $100 to rent. However once you go to book that isn't the case. The Goldfinch is $100 to rent but the Chickadee is $160 to rent. Even though they are side by side the Chickadee costs more because it is considered to be the most private of the two. Although I feel this is bs it isn't my call so just that...

My grandkids love this playground it's huge with a lot of play options. They are ages 4,7 and 9. They even made friends on one visit they had with their dad and scheduled a play date to return! Our last visit we spent over 3 hours there.

-This is why we pick this place: "Park Lake Waterford in Pasadena, Maryland is a breathtaking oasis that captured my heart from the moment I arrived. The serene atmosphere, with its crystal-clear waters and lush greenery transported me to a place of peace and tranquility. As I wandered the well-manicured grounds, I couldn't help but be swept away by the beauty that surrounded me. The staff, with their warm smiles and helpful nature, only added to the allure of this hidden gem. Whether you're seeking a quiet moment of reflection by the water edge or an invigorating hike through nature's splendor, Park Lake Waterford offers a sanctuary like no other. I urge you to discover this enchanting haven for yourself and experience the magic that awaits.” This park features: -on site park rangers -on site grills for kids/adult events/party -on site bathrooms & picnic area -on site tennis court & a (3) full size basketball courts. -on site professional football field (Home to local team call the “Chargers”) and much more …….
