Vip Wine Tasting at Layton’s Chance Winery in Vienna, Maryland #saturdayvibes #fyp #selfcare #wineryvlog

Lovely, incredibly peaceful place to enjoy an adults afternoon out. There is a single outdoor playset for kids, but there's not much there for kids to truly do so I wouldn't suggest bringing the Littles. There also isn't much food options, just a few snacks for purchase (mostly local items) OR you can get a cheese or charcuterie board to nibble. We ordered a board, wine flights and then enjoy wine slushies afterwards. We loved everything we had! We sat on the patio mostly, but the flies are a huge nuisance. Being out in the country, flies are to be expected. I think it would be a great idea for Layton's to have a screened-in patio area or a few screened gazebos for outdoor lounging. Fans on the patio could help deter the flies. We also wished they played music on the patio, they may have turned on the speakers if we had asked but we did not. Nonetheless, we had a fabulous, relaxing, serene afternoon "away". We look forward to our next visit!!

It was just okay.,.a shame really. One bad associate can totally ruin a day. I believe in customer service. I treat people with dignity and respect whether you are White, African American, Oriental, Gay, Straight, Wealthy, Poor, etc., I came today for the wine tasting and craft show looking for Christmas gifts. I felt disrespected by the wine tasting staff. It seemed I was a bother....the staff at the cashier station were polite as crazy busy as they were. But, as I stated earlier....the experience at the tasting station soured the day. I will think twice before returning. 😕

We visited this winery for a VIP self-guided tasting as part of a bachelorette weekend and really enjoyed the wine selection, cheese boards, and the rustic, charming setup. The property is beautiful, and the tasting experience itself was lovely — relaxed and well-organized.

Unfortunately, the hospitality outside the tasting room didn’t match. While a Preakness party was taking place on another part of the property, our small, close-knit bachelorette group quietly walked about a football field away to take a few group photos. We weren’t loud, wild, or disruptive — just a group of responsible women enjoying a special weekend together. Still, a woman from the party got the owner involved, who came over and asked us to leave the area. We politely complied, but were taken aback when the woman and the owner high-fived after the interaction — a gesture that felt disrespectful and exclusionary.

It’s unfortunate, because we genuinely enjoyed the wines and setting. But the way we were treated left a lasting...

We have been to the vineyard a couple of times in the last few years, and the latest at a bridal shower. The wine is delicious, and the winery is beautiful. BUT, the friendliest “person” at these visits was the dog! Do they only hire rude, unfriendly staff, who act as though it’s a bother to do their job or interact with the public?! No explanation about their wine, or samples to help the decision making process along. They just want you to purchase and go away. For what was spent on the venue, we were treated like dirt at the bridal shower, and expecting a tip!!! The nice things mentioned was marred by their bad attitudes, and really ruined a nice experience!! Niceness goes a long way!!! We won’t be wasting our time, giving them...
