Went on a night hike activity. Great for curious kids. They talked about nocturnal animals, let them feel pelts, showed skulls (owl), talked about adaptations that help them live at night. Saw and heard lots of bugs and animals — toads, green frogs, katydids, crickets, praying mantis, doe and fawns, minnows in the creek, leopard slugs, etc. Glad to have a headlamp with a red light to not blind others in the group.
