What an awesome place!! It's about a half mile hike off the loop where you'll park. It is worth the walk!
You'll see the modern barn on your right as you're heading back on the trail. Then you'll come to the home, barn, meat house, corn crib, and springhouse. The springhouse where they kept the milk and butter is fascinating!

Cades Cove is a favorite and a must see if you like nature or history. We were there on a Sunday and only saw half the loop. Traffic was heavy on the one way loop.
