Nice state beach! Less crowded than some of the other beaches I've been to on the cape. I usually go mid week during the summer and have to leave my house super early to get to the cape before traffic hits. I was very surprised to find that from 7 to 9 we were the only ones on the beach! By about 11 a few other families had shown up but there was so much space no one was bothered. I'm sure it gets more crowded on weekends but theres so much space to spread out you can find a good spot without much hassle. There is a walkway that leads down to the sand making it easy to get a stroller most of the way to your spot. We typically don't bring the stroller on the beach but found a spot right near the entrance and I just carried the stroller the last 20 feet. Parking area is reasonably shaded as well. Portapottys and changing rooms are on site but no...

Really beautiful, serene Cape Cod beach. It is secluded from the main road. Beautiful weather in May before the official season starts and things get busy. Parking was simple and abundant (again, before the June summer season) and an easy, accessible walk to the beach. There are changing rooms and portable toilets near the parking lot. It's connected to Mashpee Town Beach (also nice) but the parking situation is different there. I wasn't prepared for all the seaweed and swarming mosquitoes, however. Could have just been that particular day/time. Definitely worth a visit. And yes, as many say, you can absolutely see Martha's Vineyard as...

I have my choice of public beaches and a private beach club in a neighboring town on Cape Cod s a year round resident, but South Cape Beach is my personal favorite. Easy access via a boardwalk surrounded by Cape Roses and blue skies that leads from the parking lot to the sandy beach entrance. A fine view of Martha's Vineyard across the Sound and miles of warm saltwater beach await you. Changing rooms, comfort stations, picnic tables and scheduled nature classes for youth...

One of my favorite beaches of all time! The sand is soft with plenty of seashells to examine, the water can be warm and once you go past the row of seaweed very enjoyable! The beach at high tide is small so get here early. There is a lot for parking with a fee, free for handicap parking, walk down a path through the dunes to get to the beach. Enjoy!

Went here for a night walk, which I’m not even sure is actually allowed, but even at night this beach is fantastic. When the tide isn’t drastically high the slope isn’t too bad and the dry area is fairly wide so you have a good bit to choose from. You can easily see Martha’s Vineyard from the shore and the water is balmy.
