Read moreWe were here on Saturday July 26th, it was my first time, our friends first time and his 8 year old granddaughters first time, my boyfriend had been here some 40 years ago. I purchased combo tickets online previously for all of us to do the cave tour, feed the animals, and mine gems was such anneasy process!, unfortunately I was not able to do the cave tour due do doing 2 back to back at another place the day before and it totally messed my back up, but even with that said if I could give Squire Boon 10 stars I would, as I was sitting on the bench by the animals waiting on my group to get done w/ the cave tour a very nice lady employee asked if I was waiting on people, I said yes and explained why, she let me know if I get too hot sitting outside I was welcomed to go to the bakery and wait on them in the air conditioner, and told me to go back over to the ticket booth and get a refund since I didn't do the cave, I ended up sitting there the whole time lost in thought enjoying the animals and nature, I didn't go ask for a refund, I wasn't worried about that, I still got to enjoy ( though in massive pain) feeding the animals, gem mining, and we even went to the candle building and me and the kiddo dipped a candle, I even bought one though I make candles myself. We had a great time, the kiddo talked more about Squire Boon than she did the other caves we went to on Friday on the way home, and her grandpa said she talked about it all night and into Monday morning, she couldn't waitnto go home and tell all her friends about her weekend vacation. Thanks Squire Boon Cavern for...
Read moreWe had an amazing visit to Squire Boone Caverns near Corydon, Indiana! The cave tour was about an hour long and easy to walk, filled with beautiful formations and fascinating history. Our tour guide, Adam, was excellent—super knowledgeable and enthusiastic about both the cave and the Boone legacy. You could tell he truly loves what he does.
Outside the caverns, there’s plenty to enjoy. Although we didn’t try the zipline, it looked like a blast! We did visit the candle shop, gem mining area, gift shop, sandwich shop, and the historic grist mill. The sandwich shop (Boone's Kitchen) had a fun, old-fashioned vibe and a tasty menu—everything from pulled pork BBQ to fruity chicken salad, with sides like macaroni salad and potato chips.
The grist mill demonstration was a highlight! Aidyn and Floyd were incredibly helpful, showing us how the mill works and sharing more fascinating history about the area. Their passion for the site really made the experience special.
What stands out most is how welcoming and passionate the staff are. Everyone we met went out of their way to make us feel like guests, not just visitors. This is the kind of place where you could easily spend a few hours or more—especially if you want to try the zipline or visit the animals.
If you're visiting Southern Indiana, don’t miss Squire Boone Caverns! It’s a perfect stop for families, nature lovers, and history buffs alike. Highly...
