Ho‘okipa — Attraction in Maui

This is a really nice beach and you can see lots of turtles here. I don’t know if it is a good place for snorkeling or not. I give it four stars for a reason. I do a lot of google reviews and I need to take a good picture of the objects that I’m going to review. When I was taking these pictures I found myself so close to the line to pass but I was far enough from the turtles around 5-6 feet away while a lot of surfers were easily passing the line and walk through the shore to surf from that specific spot while there was other spots at the same beach that they could start surfing from there, anyway one of the surfers started talking rudely to me while she passed the line with her child before me getting even close to that point and sitting there getting ready to surf! I was upset and responded back to her that I’m doing exactly what she’s doing and her excuse was they’re surfing! Nowhere on the sign excludes surfers from others. The best place ever to watch those gigantic, sunbathing turtles that seem to have life completely figured out! 🐢☀️ They just chill, bask in the sun, and remind us all to slow down, breathe, and live like we’ve got nothing to lose. 🌊🌴 Honestly, these turtles have an attitude that screams: “Work? Nah. Stress? What’s that? Bills? Never heard of them!” 😂

This beach is breathtaking!!! I enjoyed it! Looking at the turtles & seeing these huge animals in person was an amazing sight to see. The surfers definitely love this beach! At least 2 dozen are out at any given time! It’s breathtaking to hear, smell & see all sights of this beautiful beach which is not too far from the OGG Airport at all, 10 minutes max I would say. It’s definitely worth a stop here to view this beautiful location & all it has to offer. I never in my life thought I’d see a turtle so huge, thought that was only in the movies & stuff.
