I think the price that the County charges the local residents is too high Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and holidays $10 per adult per night, $6 per child per night. Monday through Thursday $6 per adult per night, $3 per child per night. The portable toilets that they have there are really gross not well kept. We always rent our own portable toilets. There is a max of 6 campers per permit. So if you're planning a family reunion down at the beach which most locals like to do, this permit will prevent that from happening shame on them. The only downside is it’s right next to the highway - which can get a little annoying if you’re just trying to soak up the ocean ambience, the cars never really stop.
The beach is totally swimmable, but not consistently good enough waves for surfing though we did see some folks catch a few smaaalll ones...
