Water is generally calm and shallow on the Western side, averaging 4 ft deep and then beming choppier and reaching depths of 10 ft as you come around to the Eastern side. There is a channel that cuts through the West side cutting the Island into 1/3. Another channel cuts through from the Northeast, but comes to a dead end.
