This place is amazing for pictures and any occassion worth celebrating even just a walk in the park with yourself or kids and family. This place is close to home meaning--toledo/sylvania. Worth the drive and time taken to go. Wasnt to crowded. I believe jungle gym still off limits dont qoute me on it. This place is handi-capped friendly,Lgbtq community safe if not Tell SOMEONE please. MASKS NO REQUIRE BUT SUGGESTED AROUND CROWDS SPECAILY W NO SHOT DUE TO ELDERLY AND YOUNG IMMUNE SYSTEMS THAT ARENT UP TO PAR CAN STILL CONTRACT THE VIRUS. Bring your own sanitizer Doggie bags provided for poo I would say u could bring different animals just keep an eye on them. Owners you know ur pet. I believe there is 1 RANGER ON STAFF AT ALL TIMES CLOSES around dusk. When the sun is down. Unless you are apart of the nocturnal program provided in different areas around toledo swaton sylvania rossford...

Beautiful and well maintained park. My family and I have been going here for years to enjoy leisure walks, take photography, and attend their park events. We've attended a 5K k-9 walk here a couple years ago that was more than fun and scenic!

It is a popular metropark for photography for a magnitude of reasons such as: the beautiful trails with thick woods, tall grass, open fields, willow trees, and water! Perfect for senior, engagement, wedding, newborn, and family photos.

There is two sides to this metropark so take the kids, take the dog, or take some water and enjoy a walk with your significant other or yourself and walk both sides.

We've attended during this COVID-19 time and the park is still maintained and has signs everywhere from the trails, water, to the playground so you are constantly reminded to social distance and kindly reminded there is still a...

Sidecut Metropark in Maumee, Ohio, is undeniably a beautiful place, but my recent visit was a mixed bag. The park itself is lovely, with well-maintained trails, scenic views of the Maumee River, and plenty of spots for picnicking and relaxing. It's a great place for a quiet walk or a day out in nature.

However, my experience was overshadowed by a personal event. My girlfriend broke up with me during our visit, which made the day quite emotional. While the park provided a serene backdrop, it also became the setting for a difficult and painful moment in my life.

Despite the personal heartache, I can't deny that Sidecut Metropark is a gem for nature lovers. If you're looking for a peaceful escape, it's worth a visit. Just be prepared for the unexpected, as sometimes the beauty of a place can't shield you from life's...

I liked it, but there were some issues. It's a pretty nice park, but the amount of goose droppings and feathers is unreal. The canal locks were definitely an interesting site, they're pretty well preserved if you like to see history right in front of you. Brought our dog, he went into the silver lake for a few moments and came out smelling like he was the physical manifestation of goose poop, not a great car ride home. There's many little old stone fireplaces and bridges that are cool to look at, being a history buff. I'd suggest a visit, but bring bug spray because the forests are thick with them, trails aren't super well kept, they could use some trimming. We did get to see a doe and fawn though, that was a treat.

My wife's firm reserved the pavilion near the river for their picnic event. The park staff provided the climbing wall as well as atlatl throwing. The turkey target at the atlatl area didn't stand a chance after 3 rounds of spear throwing practice. Lots of space for the younger children in attendance to run around and play while the adults held conversation. The Toledo Chuckwagon provided catering and parked his food truck in the lawn near the pavilion so that he didn't have to carry food too far across the lawn. Thank you Metro Parks staff and Toledo Chuckwagon for an amazing family event!
