We had 2 teenage boys birthday here and overall we had a decent time, I guess. The money that it takes for around 10 of us to play I just expected more, I suppose. The place looked kinda run down but considering that it is directly underneath a giant power line it is what it is. The woosland layout could have been better, bigger, but whatevs. I thought there would be a decent discount if you had a group but the prices are pretty much the exact same. Some suggestions if I may. "The Birthday Gauntlet" either needs to be done away with completely or definitely needs to be done with "Way More Distance" between the runner & the shooters. Which by the way should Only be that party groups members involved unless ok first by them. Not cool to allow other regulars to use their professionally bought guns with their higher compressed air in them to join in all bc they would get a good laugh out of it. The ref was good at calling the game but I found it unprofessional for him to be the main instigator in pushing the gauntlet run onto the boys the way he did. Peer pressure is hard enough with kids now a days he just needs to dial it back a little. I could tell he felt bad afterwards seeing the resulting carnage of his persuasions. This would have been a 4 star review if not for the way the gauntlet ended. One more piece of advice whether a player is a new walk on or a seasoned veteran with you guys. THE AIR DIALS NEED TO BE SET TO THE SAME STANDARD!! They tried saying it was but I am not stupid & they obviously were not. Frustrating enough their guns were way better. But hey, I get it that's their hobby of course their equipment will be superior; but SAME AIR PRESSURE SHOULD BE STRICKTLY ENFORCED...PERIOD!! But the gauntlet...that close....no, no,...
Read moreI have played dozens of fields for over 20 years and I can say this is without question one of the best ones. The rental equipment is VERY nice and without a doubt the best in the state. Every paintball field has its own culture, and you can tell they care about the culture at this field . Action town has an exceptional culture, and the refs take their jobs very serious. Not just in terms of safety, but also they really do everything they can to make sure everyone has fun. Cleaning masks, carrying paint, fixing issues, suggesting game formats, keeping games moving, making sure the teams are fair and no one "Bullys" anyone. I was very impressed.
It is a little more expensive that other fields, but the experience will be MUCH better. The fields are cleaner/ nicer, rental equipment is better, and the staff is...
Read moreLadies at the front were super nice and the overall park was set up well and clean. When we got back to the fields to shoot the “Refs” were super immature and had no real system on coordinating the games. We had to wait a good hour to even play our first game because the “Refs” had to eat their lunch. We had no say so in the games that we played. We were there for nearly 2 hours and only played 2 games. Between games it seemed like it was necessary to take at least 30 mins so the “Refs” could chat with the other players. It took me having to say something for us to play quickly and pick the game we actually wanted to play. The staff in the back need some serious direction and some sort of an efficient system...
