Lake Marion Park — Attraction in Mazomanie

Lake Marion Park in Mazomanie. Five star-rating for; no swimming, no wading, no boating, no fires, no camping, no grills, no glass containers, no playground, no hunting, no feeding ducks or other wildlife, no sailing, kayak to nowhere, no sunset, no bathrooms, and no wonder I haven’t stopped in 30 years. Lake NO (no comma). Marion Pond would be suitable. Town saw fit to ad a shelter with picnic tables, try grilling before prior to picnicking. Few benches to enjoy a still pond, scores a 10 out of 10 for mosquitoes. Don’t feed them either. This park is a representation of Mazomanie “Live Outside” initiative. Nice little stop on a road trip back home to Hastings, MN, from Madison, WI, and found it very quiet, charming, and quaint. Although I am a little confused by the signage everywhere that clearly states no fishing, but seen several folks fishing... which is it? Definitely looks like a great spot to do so! We stopped to let our dog stretch and run as we took the back roads home (so glad we did, it's such a beautiful countryside that's dwindling so fast).
