Mccleary Museum — Attraction in McCleary

We stopped at the VFW for a holiday bazaar and decided to visit the museum too. The volunteers were friendly and helpful. We learned the logging/ lumber history of the town and saw several displays. (Some areas were in transition for new displays.) Be sure you go into the chapel to see the magnificent stained glass window. It's one of the best I've seen in the PNW. I love this place, but I am bias as I volunteer here. It's gathered some great artifacts over the years (before my time) and we have some fun concerts and Mystery dinners too. Was not expecting to have so much fun. We went for a homeschool day. They had stations and activities and really made for a great time. My kids didn't want to leave and came home wanting to play more "old time" games. Oh and wanting a typewriter for their birthday. Also, they were excited and willing to look for records...
