Wow. I’ve lived in Brookhaven most of my life and had no idea that this beautiful collection was just down the interstate. Glenda showed us the gallery and let us set our own pace to explore, and we even got to meet Mrs. Casin! These ladies are amazing. They made us feel so welcome, and my fiancé and I both learned so much. The number of objects in the gallery was incredibly impressive and informative, including a wealth of texts, photos, art, and more by or about African and African American experiences on a scale ranging from local to worldwide.
