This is a simple but fun lil park we take our kids too and it has so much history to be learned here but its also a beautiful scenery for photo shooting!!! You can do what I call “the walk of history”, there are stepin stones that has something written on each one that share all the history from the train runs to the history of McComb and a touch of Mississippi in general…it’s very educational for the whole family of history enthusiast!! Its a great place to just enjoy the peacefulness of the atmosphere and get a first hand view of the train that passes around 4-4:30pm. Its just a nice place to hang out and do a family picnic because they now have a beautiful pavilion to sit under. They also have water faucets to wash the kiddos hands and trash cans, the only thing really NEEDED they don’t have is restrooms. They do have security because it has very strong police presence that patrols the area all throughout the day and that alone is great to have!!! You will love this...

The station is still in use and is a stop for long distance "the City of New Orleans" (listen to my favourite Willie Nelson song, sung by Arlo Guthrie). The museum is free and good entertainment for small kids and those with an interest...

All the equipment on display is original to the railroad history and very well taken care of. This is a must see collection of you like trains or railroads. I hope that someday soon the passenger Depot gets rebuilt...
