First discovered Mill-King at several coffee shops in Austin, Texas. We are very picky when it comes to the dairy products used in our cappuccino. ( as well as the coffee)We learned that the milk used in cappuccinos included one common Ingredient, Mill-King milk. We have friends who live in McGregor and couldn’t wait to visit the actual market & creamery. You shop the market and can choice from their high quality dairy products as well a many other items you can’t find in the stores such such as cheeses , organic natural meats , teeshirts, baking goods, farm fresh eggs, crisp fresh fruits and natural Vegetables etc. It is set up with the honor system. There is a cash box you can leave a check or cash in that envelope and write then prices and items you purchased l. If you are there on a Monday through Friday during business hours (8AM -4 PM) you can use your debit or credit card.
. The raw milk comes from grass fed cows that eat from wide open pastures near Waco, Texas, keeping the cows healthy and producing quality milk. They may supplement the cow’s as necessary with feed that is GMO free as well as corn and soy-free. Needless to say, we stocked up on dairy and food and can’t wait to go back. I promise you will taste the difference and it is well worth while...
Read moreSadly their cream doesn't whip up very well so unable to use as whipped cream. It has been inconsistent and so I've given up. I prefer the certified A2 products from Jersey or Guernsey cows.
Trying to follow up to your reply to my comment but it is not allowing me to "reply" to your response but I do appreciate your response. This most recent purchase was on Sunday at the Whole Foods in Colleyville. The milk is good until 11/20 so it is well within the date. At this time I'm just using it as creamer for coffee since no "whip". I have also purchased through Central Market in the past. It tastes fine but I cannot rely on it for "whipping "based on past experience and this most recent. It is too thin. I have been using raw milk/cream and low temp pasteurized (when I cannot get to a raw milk dairy) for many years. I have never used A2 milk or cream w/any added ingredients so I'm not sure about your comment regarding A2...I don't use cream or milk w/extra ingredients. I do appreciate your timely response and wish you the best! I always love supporting...
Read moreLoved this place. They have all kinds of neat stuff to try and I sure did. Dr. Bonner products; I bought some Cinnamon toothpaste, Organic snacks; I got some organic fruit chews very similar to Starburst, They also carry environmentally friendly cleaning products; I decided to try some plant based Pink Lilac dish soap. Then there's their beef and milk. Both purchased and tried, yummy. And some locally made fudge cookie sandwich deliciousness. I had the Peanut butter. Wow. Don't make the mistake as I did and just buy one. If I lived anywhere in a half hour radius of this place I'd be here weekly. Sadly just visiting. Oh I also highly recommend the Grape Dublin soda. I think that's my favorite flavor. They also have some produce like potatoes and onions, and cheeses, teas, sauces, gluten free pastas and so much more. Love shopping locally and this was a great find. A bit off the beaten path but again, well worth it...
