Great property but they should let you bring your own wine since we never got any from the winery. We arrived about 4:45 pm on Saturday night and sat down at an open table. I went up to the food truck to order pizza while my other half stayed at the table to order drinks. Once I returned from ordering food, about 10 minutes later, I learned that a server never came by. About 10 minutes later the pizza was ready and I went over to the truck to pick it up. Came back to the table, still no wine. We flagged down a lady and asked for service or if we could go to window or something to order. The server kept saying how busy they were and that we could only get three of the wines on the list for a tasting. We ate our pizza without anything to drink. I flagged down a guy walking around and asked if we could at least get some water while we ate. He seemed like he would help, but never saw him again. I finally walked into the service area inside and asked if we could please have some water. The lady inside, the same server we ordered from, gave me two bottles of water while she shuffled some papers around again saying how busy they were. After finishing pizza and waiting for the wine a little longer we decided to leave without ever getting any wine. My guess is 50 minutes passed between us arriving and leaving. I later heard that the lady came with our wine five minutes after we left and was surprised we left. What is more surprising is that we stayed as...
Read moreWe were visiting my brother in Johnstown, when he suggested we visit the vineyard. Five of us visited on a Saturday afternoon.
What a charming and welcoming place hidden in the trees. Pete, the owner, was mingling with guests on the patio. After we each selected our sampling "tree" of three wines, Pete joined us at our outside table. We had a great conversation about how he got into the wine business, how it has changed over the years, what his plans are for the future. After we finished our sampling, Pete invited us to tour with him to see the vines and the reservable pavilion near the vineyard. What a beautiful relaxing place!!!
The wines are delicious and not expensive. We purchased enough wine to get my brother, the only local in our group, CELEBRITY STATUS. He plans to bring my sister-in-law back for many more romantic and relaxing afternoons/evenings. BE AWARE: the vineyard is open only Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. Details are available on their website.
As we were getting ready to leave a taco food-truck was just pulling in and getting set up for the Saturday...
Read moreAttended a family reunion at the vineyard. Directions were excellent and there was plenty of parking right near the pavilion near the vines! Diana & Pete had the pavilion all opened up with ceiling fans & floor fans on to make the weather bearable. (It was in the low 90s and high humidity.) It’s a beautiful place for a gathering. We tried their red wine slushies & their white wine slushies. Very good! They arranged a food truck for us and it was excellent healthy food!! We couldn’t resist buying a bottle of blush wine on...
