If you love the aesethetic of rural Kansas, you're going to love this venue. The Kansas country vibes really shine through here. The converted chicken coop barn is beautiful. It's spacious, and has great ventilation, which is a huge plus for summertime in KS. The forest-y trail to the meadow/clearing is really neat, and has a great 'hidden' feeling to it, adding to the overall "wilderness" aspect. There are enough rustic touches here for some great photo-ops, while also having nice dressing areas that were cool even during the warm (80+) afternoon. The accessible gravel parking area was great, and right next to the main venue. Couple of items to note: The 1/8th of a mile trail to the clearing is something to keep in mind for elderly or disabled guests, although the owner DOES provide assistance via golf cart. Also, there is no sink in the kitchen/serving area, so be prepared to get creative with prep and cleanup. Overall, a great experience for my daughter's wedding, and I would recommend this to anyone looking for an outdoor venue!

3 stars because there was no changing table in either of the two public bathrooms or private areas for getting ready. I was honestly surprised that a venue with a Christian/family focused vibe didn’t provide this accommodation for guests. We had to change our daughter on the concrete floor and later in the car, which is not ideal. I saw other folks changing their babies on the wood table where food and drinks were being prepped (this was before the ceremony and reception, but still not sanitary.) The outdoor path and clearing is beautiful, although as others have said it’s a longer walk for little legs/ladies in heels so forego the stroller and go with the golf...

No air conditioning! If you are having a summer wedding, you should know there is no AC. The "getting ready" rooms for bridal party have a wall unit AC & box fan, but it doesn't cool the room down very much when you get a bunch of girls/guys in one room trying to do hair/makeup, get dressed, etc. Also, the path from the barn to where the ceremony takes place isn't short, so just consider this when trying to walk in heels. Cell phone reception isn't great so if you're trying to make calls to coordinate during setup, running errands, etc., it can be difficult. This is a very cute & charming venue, but all things considered it wouldn't...
