Jakes Rocks Overlook and Mountain Bike Trail — Attraction in Mead Township

Wow! What a gem! When you drive to the top of the mountain you’ll need to park and walk down two flights of steps. There are handrails if you need them, if you can do this I’d definitely recommend, it’s an easy trail it’s mostly paved. The view is so breathable you won’t regret it. There’s actually more exploring you can do by going further down it looks to be a bit more on the rough side, I didn’t attempt this part but if I had in better shoes I definitely would have. I plan on returning in the future...

These trails are truly spectacular! Expertly built mountain bike trails. Some of the most fun trails I've been on. Relatively great traction in the wet as well. Bent run is one of my favorite trails suspension is pleasant. Lots of rocks to jump off and plenty of obstacles. Jake's Rocks has a few beginner trails, but overall it's intermediate.

This picnic area isn't great as far as picnic areas go. It's mostly just a parking area with vault privies and a picnic table. However, there is a cool trail here that goes to a very nice overlook where you can see down the reservoir, as well as a bunch of neat rocks. The trail is sort of paved with asphalt making it easy to follow, but it may not be good enough for wheelchairs...
