Our freshwater lake has many small parks and has unusual features. Seward Park is the best park. It's a peninsula with old growth forests. I rarely go east or north so I won't review there. I like Leschi, Frink and Colman Parks because I don't drive a car anymore and the only bus is the Yesler bus going there, #27. Other buses go to Madrona and Madison Parks. Being an elderly pedestrian is difficult to go up these parks however. Seattle is a hilly place.Lake Washington has long floating bridges with a lookout spot . Hydroplane races have big crowds at the Southwest end of the lake during Summer Seafair every year. Madison and Leschi Park has nice places to eat and shop. Never been to jet boat races but, it was pretty exciting. Super venue for a short or day long outing.
