We took my 2yo son here to mainly ride the pony, but we figured he would love seeing and feeding all of the animals. We had a great time! It is free to visit 9am-1pm M-Sat. Park in the grass/ dirt off the driveway. Bring your own food for the animals (cereal, carrots, apples, bananas etc). This farm is basically the big backyard of a nice woman’s house. She has goats, pigs, chickens, horses, ponies, donkeys, a turkey, ducks, tortoises, a cow, guinea pigs and bunnies. Pony rides are $5 and she prefers if you call ahead so she can make sure she has someone there to assist. She takes cash and there’s digital payment options as well. Overall it was a very casual visit, but really awesome especially for animal lovers! We were able to hold the bunnies and guinea pigs, pet the pigs and most of the other animals, hand fed the goats and the cow. There’s also some weathered play houses in the back for the kids (Step2 style play houses and a sand box). We will...
Read moreThis is an animal rescue farm. The farm runs on volunteer efforts and donations. Of course some of the animals are being nursed back to health from bad situations, so they may not all be beautiful and perfect. The owner loves the animals and makes sure they are well cared for. It is a great place for your teen or tween to get volunteer hours, they will learn hard work, responsibility, and attention to detail along with how to care for animals. If you visit to interact with the animals, bring cut up fruit and veggies for them. Also plain Cheerios are a big hit and the animals will give you lots of love for the treats. Della visits with her guests, answers questions, and shares their stories. Visits are free, but donations are greatly...
Read moreI found Cox Farms a year ago when I wanted to take my grandkids out to do something different while they were here; WE ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT!!!!!!!!! Della (Ma) talked to the kids and my daughter about all the animals, including the ones she lost in the past! She was very informative about the farm animals and even gave the kids treat buckets to feed them! She really cares about them and loves telling the stories about she got them! They all really loved it and didn’t want to leave! Ever since then I’ve been trying to come volunteer when I’m free on the weekends and help take care of the animals-I’ve learned a lot from her. It’s actually very therapeutic and a great place to get your hands dirty and connect...
