I had a wonderful visit at the Florida Institute of Technology Botanical Gardens in Melbourne. The gardens are carefully cultivated into beautiful peaceful spaces. There must be thousands of different species of plant life in a relatively small area. The entrance is a wooden covered bridge that leads into different walkways. Watched a resident snapping turtle and a few cute turtles friends in the pond get fed. Gazebos and benches are throughout to linger and take in the sounds of water and a colorful view. Handicap accessible.

These gardens are nice, there are various flowers and plants. There are different paths and small bridges. There are also pond areas with fish and turtles 🐢 some areas were very muddy and I some not so well maintained. But there were benches and shade and it was an enjoyable experience walking through the garden.

This is a small little botanical gardens attached to the Florida Tech College Campas. It has a partial side walk and part dirt pathway so I would suggest wearing a good pair of gym shoes. The oldest & vary first school house is located here.

Read before visiting - Horrendous parking!!! We parked in the FIT parking lot nearest to the gardens. It was a pretty busy parking lot and had no noticable signage stating this was a restricted lot. I noticed a ticket in the vehicle parked in front of me, so I decided to call FIT security to ask if this was a restricted parking lot. They said yes, and the only way to get a visitor pass is to drive to their security welcome center, which we did. It was easy to get the free visitor pass. Only problem was, we couldn't get another spot after waiting in the lot for 10 minutes. We ended up leaving. This system of parking passes is infuriating. I wonder if I would have also gotten a ticket if I just stayed in the parking space I took before having to go to the...
