This is by far the BEST brisket I have had since I moved toTexas 6 years ago. The brisket was so moist and tender - it melted in your mouth. This is how brisket should taste! Cornerstone BBQ is a hidden gem on the backroads of McKinney. They are open only Wed - Sun and they serve breakfast and lunch until they run out. We went first thing Sunday morning, our breakfast which was filling was made with fresh ingredients and delicious. After that we went inside to the shop and we’re wowed by the gem we found. The table full of fruits and vegetables, the fridges filled with freshly ground meat made by hand by those cooking and tending to us around the store. Fresh in season jams made by the cooks wife, I recommend you try the cantaloupe while it’s in season. I ordered a burger with mac and cheese and an ice tea. Total cost with tip was $26. I can't say enough from keeping you from making the mistake I did. The burger was 90% bun, 5% onion, tomato and lettuce and 5% beef. The mac and cheese was maybe 1/2 cup of a dry concoction. Soooo disappointed. I heard a few good things about this place, the location and idea was appealing to me but thumbs down at the burger. As I looked at other dishes I didn't see value in the price/quantity either.
