Crooked Creek Falls — Attraction in Mena

This was an interesting find, as we'd only heard about it and were given quick instructions on how to find it. There's no signs to it, but it sits right beside a nice large campsite and you can see it from the road! It wasn't flowing as well as some pictures we've seen, but was flowing very good! We went on Dec 31, and it was 55 degrees. It was really beautiful! You can get down to it from both sides with a great deal of caution. These falls have about 16 foot drop. Best access is from Hwy 8 between Big fork and Black Springs. About 6 - 7 miles of gravel from that cutoff to the falls. Pretty decent road imo compared to the road from the falls to Camp Albert Pike. But if you have never been to Little Missouri Falls it is worth the 4 - 5 mile trip farther down the road past the Crooked Creek Falls. Also, not far past C. C. This place is in the ouatita national forest,many clear spring creeks & falls,vey quiet place except hear lately cause of summer& four of July coming,there was more people,everyone I came across was very nice& awesome even some man bussed driving jeep,oops lol,stuck back in the hills and mountains and a beautiful pitureristic view of a 20ft.water fall and swimming hole pluss area to park& grill great for adults & kids,hard to find spot while driving on the road,need Google...
