Dunlap Creek Park — Attraction in Menallen Township

We ABSOLUTELY love coming to Dunlap Creek!!! We visit at least twice a week, frequently to night fish with our sons and their friends!!! We ALL have fun and feel very safe, even to stay from 8pm-4am, which is our longest visit to date!!!! This is actually where I have requested to celebrate my 34th birthday this weekend with my family!!!! SO glad we found this gem in our tiny town 🤩 It's close to our home without have to fly up the mountain or drive for an hour. Multiple spots to enjoy in any time of day, even if it's sweltering hot outside, you can find a comfy spot along the creek somewhere 😉 And the family who runs the bait shop on the creek is just lovely and always friendly and welcoming, and willing to answer any questions that any of us (even our silly little one's)...

This is a hidden gem in Fayette County. It was a few minutes drive from my workplace and a few of our employees have visited, so I thought I would take some time and go one afternoon after work.

I came off New Salem Road and almost missed the driveway because of poor signage. Anyway we drove past some areas that had pavilions and deplorable latrines that looked like they've been vandalized from time over the years.

At the end of the road we end up at the lake where it is the best of this side and has a new clean toilet facility, still waterless but usable compared to the other ones.

The side of the boat launch is on the opposite side of the lake and has children's amenities in addition to the better style latrines, I have been included pictures...

Great park only downfall is trash/litter EVERYWHERE. It is really sad. I would gladly give this place five stars, but even maintenance just mows right over bags of trash sending debris flying everywhere included the reservoir.
