I use this park for runs, though I do see many families and individuals using it in the mornings for walks, etc. It seems nice enough, though the slough isn't the prettiest sight.

There's a stretch that goes from the parking area to Facebook's campus. It's almost exactly 5k, so it helps gauge exactly how far I've run. The view is fair, and the air can have a slight odor coming from the slough/marsh running along it. It is also up against the highway, so there are some complications (like air quality) that stem from the cars passing.

Last time I ran here, I was attacked by geese. No joke. A group of five or so geese decided to park their keisters on the path, and I tried to run around them. Their leader was not pleased, so it chased started to hiss at me and chase me. I paused to hiss back and flail my arms in hopes it would be scared off. Oh no, this only emboldened it more. It started to chase me at a high-speed waddle. I was forced off the path into some nasty thickets, leaving me with a few scratches on my leg. This doesn't affect my rating for the park, but it does reinforce my fear of...

Love the park, but only park there if you can afford it. I was there Friday morning and Sunday morning, both times (yes 2x in a row) my car was robbed. My wallet was neatly cleaned out and replaced (even zipped up the coin section after it was cleaned out) and replaced in the center console. Today a safe was taken out of my car (yes it was firmly attached). I park near a trail head and yet I have been robbed 2x in a row!!! I think these are professionals as they don't break a window and there is no sign of a break in.

I won't be back, its not safe. I like the park, but I can't afford to feed the thieves. Shame on those that are stealing. I work hard, I want to exercise outdoors, but now I can no longer do this. I consider this park dangerous. I see police and yet I get broken into 2x? They take cash, debit cards and use them btw.

Don't go to this park unless you can afford to lose what's in your car. I no longer feel safe. I am very afraid, and I didn't feel that way, the people on the trail are really nice, but the ones in the parking lot are stealing from you.

Updating review: I had previously only been to the park when it was desert-y and dry—but still beautiful. Today it was luscious and green and lovely in a different way. Plenty of parking. Access to a public restroom. A few benches for resting. Stroller-friendly, but bumpy. A nice place to wander aimlessly. Choose the more flat trails today rather than the steep hills; however, I did make it up one little incline and enjoyed the wonderful view.

— Original Review: I’m not sure where all these pictures of greenery came from—everything is brown & dead right now. There is some construction at the entrance. Lots of parking available. Public bathrooms available. Stroller-friendly paths, but unpaved & bumpy. I just kind of wandered around; there were no clear paths set out with signs for direction. We chose to trek up a few hills, but could have had a flat walk if we wanted. Very little shade on a hot day. Today’s bonus: we followed the mysterious sounds of a trumpet through the park to find a fellow playing at the top of a...

Bedwell Bayfront Park is a beautiful spot to enjoy views of the Bay, located less than a mile from Highway 101. There's plenty of parking available, and the restrooms are clean with good water access for hand washing. The hiking trails are easy and great for all ages, we hiked 3.4 miles and spotted a coyote, a bunny, and plenty of pigeons and swans along the way. I especially enjoyed the Spirit Path, which is kid-friendly and well-maintained. Since the park is an open space with little shade, it's best to bring water and a hat. The climate can be noticeably different between the Peninsula and the Bay. It's hotter and more humid by the water so a morning hike is highly recommended. It wasn’t crowded during our visit, and from the highest point, you can even catch a view of Mount Diablo.
