I have been going here my entire life. Every season is different and even every day. The winds change fast, and bugs come and go. I always bring an extra layer to put on as it is a bit cooler on the water. The lighthouse does have tours, but be sure to check the days/times those are available. It was a nice tour with photos and the opportunity to walk up to the top to lookout, great views. This is a great place to fish and also a fun place to jump off. We go pier jumping every summer as a big group, and this is our go-to spot. We do jup off the side where the boats drive because it is much safer and no rocks. The water level fluctuates yearly, so be ready for a variety. Keep coming back to see the changes. There was a freezing day one time and crazy wind and waves that coated everything around in ice. It...

This old North Pier lighthouse is located in the Historic District Menominee, MI... a short jaunt off the main lakefront street where a Marina, swim area, fine pubs and shops are located. With any luck, one can see the merchant ships off in the distance of Lake Michigan. There's good parking at the lighthouse ...where folks enjoy just viewing..or, taking a walk down the long pier to get up close and center to the lighthouse. It.s a short drive past the industrial area...over the Menominee River bridge to Wisconsin...& more shops & pubs in the City of Marinette. Across that bridge is a favorite pub-eatery of the locals is Apple Jack's. Great food at...

Fantastic walk out to the lighthouse showing where the previous locations of the light were in the past along the way. The lighthouse is very simple inside but was open for viewing and the man doing the tour was amazing! Lots of historic photos on the walls of the lighthouses history. Steepest set of stairs I’ve every walked up to get up to the second floor and a ladder to the...

Unique experience with a concrete pier leading about a half mile to the actual lighthouse sitting at the mouth of the Menominee River. The lighthouse itself has been updated over time along with the pier changing from wood to concrete. First constructed in 1877. Good place to enjoy the river, take a walk with family.
