We just went there today and it was fun but some things could improve. Pros: •Friendly staff • seemed to be lots of parking (free) •beautiful views •cute animals •lots of pumpkins to choose from • they put together several really cute photo op spots • they do sell some food - hamburgers, hot dogs, nachos, ice cream, cotton candy, lemonade, kettle corn - so you have several options for snacks
Cons: • Not much to do for younger kids - no soft play or anything like that. There really weren't any rides for our 18 month old daughter. We thought my husband could ride with her on the "animal tractor," and the kid working there said no, kids aren't free. .. ok, maybe not KIDS, but 3 and under or 2 and under should be free? • Tickets are $1 each unless you buy big qty's (like 45 or 100) and then you get a small break on price. • tickets for rides seem kinda steep for some. The big tractor ride is 10 tickets per person. So a family of 5, enjoy your $50 ride 😕 • no petting zoo. I was bummed on this, I thought I saw someone say there was one, which was a big reason I wanted to come here since my kid is 18m and loves animals. There are animals but they're in pens, fenced in or caged - a big black cow, llamas, goats (you can kinds feed them through the fence), bunnies & chickens in a coop behind wire, a pig, some horses. I thought we'd be able to walk/pet/feed among the goats, bunnies & chickens.
Just some tips -- • bring cash. No cards accepted, there is an atm on site • wear flat shoes - the place is pretty much all gravel, uphill in some spots • if you're bringing a stroller - see above. SO glad we didn't bring our normal stroller, it would've been a struggle. We brought our Bob stroller and it was pretty easy to push through the gravel • you're gonna get dusty/dirty, know that • they do sell some food - hamburgers, hot dogs, nachos, ice cream, cotton candy, lemonade, kettle corn, so you have several options for snacks
They had some good music playing and lots of strung lights are up so I'm sure it's pretty as it gets dark. Overall, I'd probably still come back now that we know what to expect and our kid will be...
Read moreWe did enjoy our visit... but I have to agree with Nicole M... Covid safety was pretty disregarded. None of the employees had masks on for example, something you see everywhere else it seems.
There were other issues too that are worth mentioning. In a time when other businesses are encouraging us to not use cash, this farm is CASH ONLY. It cost us an extra 6.49 (3.99 atm fee plus 2.50 bank fee) to get cash to pay for anything. If you go, BRING CASH if you can find it.
The tractor ride scared my little ones as well. They were not prepared to see hanging corpses and decapitated bodies...
The little pond should probably be looked after more. My son and I got mobbed by mosquitoes. If you’re sensitive to mosquito bites, be aware.
You’re prices are not quite commercial yet... but getting there. Everything cost 4 dollars, even a simple kids ride. A can of soda was 2 dollars...
I think it’s easy to forget that you are after all a business, and just like the spots up in Oak Glen, things cost money and not everything is perfect. Just thought I’d share our experience so people...
Read moreLeaving this review due to their lack of care during this pandemic. As a business, you would think they would take more responsibility to keep their customers safe. I went on their website where they claimed they were taking extra precautions due to Covid. So my family and I drove almost an hour to find that is completely a lie. No one had a mask on; employees or customers. No one followed social distancing. They had a very small selection of pumpkins and to purchase them you had to go into a very small shop where once again no one had a mask on and was impossible to keep the 6ft distance. I wouldn't even let my son do any of the activities because there was no sanitation between patrons and didn't feel safe. These are different times right now and for a business to claim on their website saying they were adapting to them when they clearly aren't is misleading and completely unsafe. We were there for 20 mins and were so uncomfortable we just left. Extremely disappointed to see a business take zero responsibility in keeping their customers and...
