Cute little U-Pick Apple Orchard!! We were camping at Desoto State Park down the road and were craving some fried apples. What better activity to do than picking them yourself on a Saturday morning! We visited their Facebook page where they post their hours. It looks like they’re typically only open on Saturday’s 9AM-2PM. But I would definitely check on their Facebook page to be sure if you plan on visiting. The staff is so friendly and the fields are well maintained. We loved that their farm is Round-Up Free. We did notice that they allow Pokeweed to grow between their crops (maybe for pest prevention, not sure). The leaves are often used for medicinal purposes or cooking but please DO NOT eat or pick the berries. The berries are toxic to people and pets. I would highly suggest they should make a sign for those who are not aware of what Pokeweed is. They do take card but did mention they have issues with the card reader from time to time so I would suggest carrying cash just in case. If we weren’t just traveling though the area, I would absolutely visit here a lot. My fiancé said that the apples we picked were probably the best tasting apples he...
