This Welcome Center is very nice. There are walking trails and picnic tables (concrete) It is very well maintained.

Inside you will find clean restrooms and a room with lots of information about Alabama. There are all kinds of brochures on things to see and do in the State. There's some information about the State's history as well.

Handicapped parking is around the other side from "regular" vehicle parking. There's are a large number of spots available. This parking area makes access to the Center and restrooms MUCH easier! The bathrooms are very accessible in a wheelchair. The Center is...

Well I just thought that the Mississippi welcome center was bad OMG the Alabama welcome center was way worse the vending machines had absolutely nothing in them bone dry and the inside of the building was nasty like you really don't won't to touch any in there 😳 and the rest room's are terrible only 1 sink with running water absolutely no toilet tissue had paper towel dispenser and of course nothing in them no air hand dryer so if you did wash your hands you left with wet hands 😜 I'm probably not the only person to notice this but I will never stop...

Pulled in about 7p on a Friday night with a travel trailer and truck, most of the Semi's spaces were available. The restrooms were clean and had hot water, as the attendant was cleaning. For the most part we felt safe, even had enough room in the parking space to extend one of my slides. The wifi doesn't reach the lot where the trucks are parked but that's okay for us because we were tired and went straight to sleep. If you can withstand the trucks running their engines all night is a great to stop through, rest,...

Traveling home to Canada from our Texas Vacation. We try to stop at all Welcome centers to record our trip. This one was extremely interesting, love the theme "Sweet Home Alabama" ! The sweet ladies Mary & Elizabeth were wonderful to talk to. Everything you need is there. It was early April with Easter approaching , decorations everywhere..so neat. I bought Sweet Home Alabama sweatshirt...love it. On to the facilities..restrooms were clean as were the grounds. Keep up the good work...Tourism ambassadors!! C & D

This has to be the worst ran/managed rest area on all of I-20. The vending machines are almost always empty or nearly so. Not to mention how nasty they are. The bathrooms were somewhat clean and if you really have to go, they will do. Beware of sticking your hand into the vending machines to get your item you purchase. There is some funky gunk in the bottom of them you don't want to get your hands in! Forrest Gump and Neil Young could keep this place ran better on their worst days!

We have traveled the US a good deal by car and we are always impressed by the beautiful rest areas in the State of Alabama. They are plentiful, always extremely well maintained and most are staffed by friendly and knowledgeable people. This center on I59 North, near exit one, is no exception. Many picnic tables, lots of shade and convenient vending machines with credit card slots. Alabama is an example.
