They had also bagged trash to take back with them and have us the rundown about the area. We then launched from the island and kayaked down the river, and had a very relaxing lunch in the kayak. When the hubs and I launched out of Manatee Cove Park in 2014, the water level was noticeably higher. At that time, we saw a lot of manatees -- the most I've ever seen in one spot.

As a premiere bull shark estuary, the Indian River Lagoon hosts up to 6ft bull sharks which may be seen as well.
