Red Mountain Park is a popular outdoor recreational area located in Mesa, Arizona. It is known for its beautiful red rock formations and stunning desert scenery. The park offers a variety of activities for visitors to enjoy, such as hiking, mountain biking, and horseback riding.

The park covers an area of approximately 1,146 acres and features several well-maintained trails that cater to different skill levels. The trails wind through the rugged terrain, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding desert landscape. Some of the popular trails in Red Mountain Park include the Upper Sonoran Trail, the North Trail, and the East Trail.

In addition to hiking and biking, Red Mountain Park also has picnic areas, a playground, and a fishing lake, making it a great destination for families. The park is open year-round, but it's important to check the park's website or contact the park office for any updates on closures or restrictions.

As far as parks go, this is beyond outstanding. Loads of space, loads of equipment, and loads of stuff to do. Let me start by saying if you are planning to have an event this is the place, though you will want to make an official reservation. Red Mountain Park has many large fields of grass/grassy hills for activities. It also has loads of sidewalks and courts for anyone interested in that. More interesting is that Red Mountain Park also has a large lake stocked with fish for anyone interested in that. The equipment here is interesting and unique with multiple different types of playgrounds spread throughout the park. The amount of gazebos here is more than enough for the people occupying the park at any given time, which is something not to be taken for granted. Something I found interesting was how clean the park really was every time I went there. Personally I think this park will remain an outstanding place for long time even without any new additions. I don't understand why they went so far and beyond when makeing this park, but whatever the reason I'm...

Review of: Red Mountain Park

This large park has all picnic tables under covered pavilion and large shade structures over all the play areas. There are 2 play areas separated by gentle rolling hills that my kids delight in running up and down. The play area are covered in wood chips. There are plenty of water fountains and decent restrooms. Flocks of Canadian Geese make this park their winter home. Paved and unpaved trails wind around the Riparian preserve to the Multi-generational center across the lake/pond. Best thing about this park is a working merry-go-round that is out of this world. not only do you spin around but you can stand in gyro cages that can spin you around in the opposite direction. And then there is the rope ladders that you can climb as you spin around or cling onto for dear life as someone else spins you. There is basket ball and several volleyball courts. This is the perfect park for...

This is a really nice park in north Mesa that is much larger than I thought. I have lived in this area for 4 years and have only driven by a few times. There are a lot of very nice areas to walk through the desert and around the small lake. I will definitely be going back to spend more time when it is cooler. Today thought I saw two bald eagles; one flew over my head and then grabbed something, probably a fish, out of the lake. It landed on top of a power pole and started chowing down. Another eagle, definitely larger, was farther down on another pole. Truly surreal as it was 104 out today.

Super fun park. There are 2 play parks for kids, one for older kids and one for younger. There are volleyball courts, pickleball/tennis courts, and basketball courts. Nice sidewalks for walking, big grassy hills, a pond with ducks! It's a really great place to take your kid / sibling, hang out with friends, or just go on a walk to enjoy nature. Everyone is really respectful here! When I came here with a younger 'sibling', we got to watch remote control cars! Another time, I went here to play volleyball and met a horserider! Super pretty horse and friendly rider 😳

Probably one of the best parks I've ever been to in Arizona and one of the great things about it is, not a lot of people know about it so it's never packed with people. You can always come here and get away from people if that's what you want to do or find a good fishing spot and not have a bunch of people around you making noise. If you come here, plan on spending the whole day or else your going to feel like you missed out on something. That's how many things there are to do here
