Read moreAs far as parks go, this is beyond outstanding. Loads of space, loads of equipment, and loads of stuff to do. Let me start by saying if you are planning to have an event this is the place, though you will want to make an official reservation. Red Mountain Park has many large fields of grass/grassy hills for activities. It also has loads of sidewalks and courts for anyone interested in that. More interesting is that Red Mountain Park also has a large lake stocked with fish for anyone interested in that. The equipment here is interesting and unique with multiple different types of playgrounds spread throughout the park. The amount of gazebos here is more than enough for the people occupying the park at any given time, which is something not to be taken for granted. Something I found interesting was how clean the park really was every time I went there. Personally I think this park will remain an outstanding place for long time even without any new additions. This large park has all picnic tables under covered pavilion and large shade structures over all the play areas. There are 2 play areas separated by gentle rolling hills that my kids delight in running up and down. The play area are covered in wood chips. There are plenty of water fountains and decent restrooms. Flocks of Canadian Geese make this park their winter home. Paved and unpaved trails wind around the Riparian preserve to the Multi-generational center across the lake/pond. Best thing about this park is a working merry-go-round that is out of this world. not only do you spin around but you can stand in gyro cages that can spin you around in the opposite direction. And then there is the rope ladders that you can climb as you spin around or cling onto for dear life as someone else spins you. There is basket ball and several volleyball courts. This is the perfect park for...
