Beautiful and peaceful place to sit back and relax listening to the calming sounds of cars and trucks and their resolute drivers. Here you can truly enjoy the soothing sounds of rushing water trying to get away from somewhere as if it has committed a crime while at the same time familiarizing yourself and your family with the intriguing aromas of petrichor and the smell created by recreationally burning small amounts of lawn or pasture plants by someone seeking relaxation of a different kind.

There are remnants and ruins of a bygone time littered throughout the park. A better time, perhaps for some and not others. But how great a time can be is a matter of perspective, as John Trusler once said, “there’s no [better] time like the present.”

Visiting the park sooner than later proves delightfully pleasant, knowing that plants will grow and the land reclaim and built structures will steadily crumble as future generations leave historic places neglected.

Enjoy a picnic or watching the slowly passing shadows of clouds under a tree, quietly reminiscing of loves that could have been and loves that could be before wondering where you’ve been for the last two hours and why your kakis are stained and wet. Explain that to your wife, but keep the other stuff...

The scenery is beautiful and the history of the mill is explained on giant signs, great place to bring the family for a picnic and every year there is a herring run that is fantastic, they have a country fair, where you can purchase hand crafted items, have someone draw you or loved ones, and a petting zoo as well, the herring run is so cool, there are millions of herring running upstream, you can pick them straight out of the water with your hands, it's pretty amazing!! If you're in the area it's a %100 must see!!! Fantastic history about the whole Oliver Mill and the old Oliver house across route 44, absolutely amazing place to go for the family and for the people that are interested in the hauntings if the Oliver house, it's very interesting an extremely important place you must visit if you're a history connoisseur!!! A++ place to go and see in my opinion!!! I hope you enjoy it as...

This is a very sweet little park that seems to be well used by the locals. We stayed at the KOA across the street for a week, and every time we drove by, there were at least a few cars parked there. It's a two-century-old mill and bridge that now has an added herring ladder. You can see the ruins of the mill, the swans on the pond, and egrets in the marsh area. There's a small waterfall created from the mill. For such a small and local park, there's a lot to see. It rather reminds...

This is a nice little park. I love the old mill and parts of the buildings with all the random spots the water flows. So beautiful and a nice sunset spot. The parking lot was suspiciously full with no one actually outside of their cars though lol. There is a red-winged blackbird in one of the trees near the bridge that must have babies or something. She attacked us multiple times lol.
