Quassy Amusement & Waterpark — Attraction in Middlebury

Honestly, I love Quassy! under any other circumstance I would rate the park a 5 star. I’ve been coming here since I was a child. I have great memories now I’m bringing my own children here and I hope to be able to carry this tradition and one day, bring my grand Children however something occurred today that I simply cannot ignore and I feel I must bring attention to. The big flush water coaster will severely injured someone or worse kill somebody one day if something isn’t done immediately! As seen in the picture Provided the tunnel is black anyone who understands how heat is absorbed based on colors would know black absorbs the most sunlight. combined this with the condense tight space and this is a deadly combination at Worst and harmful at best. The temperature was only within the 80s today. I don’t know what could have happened. Had the temperatures been in the high 90s or even a hundred range As we have seen not too long ago. Within seconds of the ride beginning, I felt immense pressure upon my chest and then realization that I could not breathe simultaneously, I noticed intense heat in the atmosphere around me. Combine this with the adrenaline that comes from the drop of the ride I felt pain and Instantly was aware that my heart was racing, my daughter was with me on the ride, and she instantly was panicking about the same sensation. She cried out. This is worse than a sauna in a Desert Despite being Fearful of our physical condition I simply told her to remain calm . The ride would be over soon enough. And freaking out would make it harder for us to breathe Upon exiting the ride, we were short of breath, and incredibly dizzy. We had gone on the ride in hopes of cooling down, but Instead were, Expose to extreme temperatures, which I doubt would even be lawful for a Jacuzzi or a sauna. I sincerely hope quassy sees this And takes inconsideration This warning, the ride Needs to be mildly altered. I recommend painting white stripes along the tunnel I can understand the benefit of having black tubing for the Start of the season and the end of this season, which would See the coolest temperatures, however, having an all black Tunnel, During peak season is dangerous. So please consider simply painting white stripes along the tunnel. The white will Balance the temperature Since white absorbs the least amount of heat. And since the ride would not entirely be loosing the Black, it could stay somewhat warm for the cooler parts...

I went there with the family for the first time yesterday. We all had a blast! This is a perfect sized park for younger children. We went on a Thursday and the place was visited by a few different camps from the city. Despite all these camps, the lines were relatively short. You can purchase an all-inclusive ticket which includes the wristband for rides as well as the water park. We only purchased for the rides which is only $10 difference from all-inclusive pass.

RIDES: Most of the rides are ones that you would find at a county fair. For a majority of the rides, my youngest son (4) was able to go on. They do have one wooden roller coaster which was surprisingly fun and fast. They offer rentals for paddle boats which you can rent for a half an hour. Prices vary on the size of the paddle boat. You can definitely check out the map online to see the list of all the rides.

WATER PARK: despite not purchasing the all-inclusive pass, we were able to see what was offered. Water park, a nice number of slides as well as a splash pad area. There's a beach as well that leads to the lake that the park is named after.

ARCADE: The arcade is a decent size. They have a number of modern and vintage games. I saw a few games that I played when I was younger (25+ years ago). You can also win prizes.

FOOD: Typical park food. A little pricey. You can definitely bring in your own food as they have picnic areas and lots of seating. The restaurant is a go to the counter and order. They do offer alcoholic beverages (draft beer, wine, White Claws, and a few specialty drinks). Their soft-serve ice cream was delicious.

This was a great time for the family. The kids really enjoyed themselves and my sons both loved the train ride. They definitely did a great job with making sure that everyone was safely put into each ride. I saw a couple of times when they did a maintenance check on a ride.

This is a great family park if you live an hour or less away. You can tell that this place is family owned and operated as it had that vibe. We look forward to...
