Nature Lover's Nest is a charming store nestled in the trees on Swine Creek Road near Swine Creek Reservation. Swine Creek can be easily accessed from SR 528 in Geauga County. The store is Amished owned (very nice and very helpful) and offers lots of outdoor and some indoor nature-related items. There are beautifully sounding windchimes of different sizes made in the US, as well as birdhouses, feeders, outdoor critter food, neat outdoor furniture, lawn decor, indoor items - too many to list. There is an upstairs that houses all kinds of merchandise from children's items to adult. A visit will be worth the trip and I guarantee you will find something you love. Lots of items for the younger folks, too. A lovely place to browse and shop any time of the year. Gift certificates are...

I found this park last year and absolutely fell in love with it. Lots of natural trails with amazing views. Paved trail options as well. You can easily choose to make it a short easy hike or if you want more of a challenge take the natural trails through the gorge. It does require crossing several creeks and offers varied terrain. The sugar bush section is neat and shows you how they collect maple sap. Beautiful views from the pond. Multiple areas to park. There are restrooms available throughout. Even though there are always allot of cars when I go I never run into allot of people and it makes for a very peaceful hike. I highly recommend this place for people...

I have been going to this park for many years, and I still enjoy it. Even still, I discover new things around the creek and woods. Many cool trees, if you explore. Sycamore, tulip, oaks, hickory, the odd birch. Some of pretty decent size. The creek is a great area to find and learn about amphibians and fish. Seemingly endless creek chubs can be caught with rod and reel, and many small species can be caught with a net, like dace and darter species. I have seen red eft salamanders roaming near the creekside, and Northern water...

A beautiful somewhat hidden space where one can take a very leisurely walk through the woods and listen to the sounds of the forest. Our walk took us past numerous maple trees that were set up for harvesting the sap to make maple syrup. It's also a beautiful place to have a picnic. Squires Castle is also in that same area.
