Middletown Community Skatepark — Attraction in Middletown Township

The nicest skatepark in the area besides Philly ones (but also much cleaner), has stuff both in the park and outside of it (some curbs and what not) suitable for beginners to practice on. Coming from not being on a skateboard at a skatepark since like 2008 and being disabled and not very good these days, this was the first one I went to check out on the board after months of just getting strong enough to ride the thing again.

Every single person I talked to/met, which was pretty much everyone at the park, was super welcoming, friendly, and were eager to offer help when I asked for some tips. I was pretty worried tbh that it would be like Philly is at times and clique-y/judge-y and that I wouldn't get many opportunities to really skate the park much between the lack of skills/being a newcomer/anxiety of not being on a comparable skill level, but all was good and eventually the park dwindled down to where it was just other people around a comparable skill level to me just f'in around together and all chillin til after 9. Made like 5 new friends and will for sure be back again. P.S. You can stay later than the time it closes but they just shut the lights off. Only complaint is I don't think any of the bathrooms were actually open unless I was going to the wrong ones or something.

A beautifully designed and constructed park meaning no wasted space and great flow from feature to feature plus perfectly smooth surfacing of the concrete. Best park I've skated in this area easily. The new 5th Pocket Skatepark in Middletown Community Park is apparently a dream come true for skateboard enthusiasts. Went over to check it out, take some pics, and chat up a few of the boarders.
