We happened to drive by and thought we would check it out. We had to pay $5 to get in the gate. (PA state parks are FREE to enter!) We soon came to a dirt parking lot and could not go any further. The map showed it was at least a mile walk, in the sun (today is 93 degrees) to the river! (The park has RIVER in its name!) So we left. Never again!

Well-maintained trails, with a nice blend of forest, shoreline, meadow, and agricultural fields. We went at midday on a beautiful Saturday, and encountered a few hikers and horseback riders, but it was by no means crowded in any sense of the word. Plenty of parking; porta-potties were clean. Just keep an eye out for horse poo on the trails.

A number of great walking trails. However, they allow dogs and horses on the trails and as least as far as the horses, they are not cleaned up after. You really need to watch where you are walking. I wish they would have a separate trail for the dogs and horses.

This park has very well maintained trails that are clearly marked. The entrance is easy to see, there's a good-sized parking lot with two VERY clean port-a-pots, trail maps and a large trail map on a marquee. I thought it was really nice that there was a 3 step riding block for horse riders to mount up from, and there were picnic tables and benches a plenty. This is a beautiful state park with some gorgeous views....

Trails to the water are ankle deep in horse waste. We had to walk through the brush, forest and ticks to get around the mess. If a person brought their dog and let them poo everywhere without picking it up they'd be fined and banned. Horse people should have to atleast move their mess off trail. Shame on you and the state for using my tax money to build something the public...

Great new park. Visited in mis June 2024. It's about a half mile walk to the water and the beach area is pretty small. They have 2 porta potties in the parking lot. There's several trails through the woods and meadow. Enough walking trails for several hours. There is a gate and the cost for in-state was $3 which was reasonable for the...
