We went with my nephew and his school on a field trip. They never said we had to stay with the group and the teacher wasn't worried about kids whose parents were there. But one lady was extremely rude and told us we had to stay with our group. And when we couldn't find our group she followed us and very rudely told us that they were open on weekends and we needed to come back then if we weren't going to follow the rules. The thing was we were trying to findy nephews class so we could sign him out and leave because him and his little brother were tired. He asked if he could toss the bean bags no harm no foul right? No the lady came back over and told us we had to stay with our group or leave. She then preceded to tell another lady that her son wasn't allowed to jump on the giant blob thing because his group wasn't there. I overheard his Mom tell the lady that he hadn't got to jump and they were fixing to leave and he just wanted to jump for a minute. She flat out just said no. She then followed me my two nephews abs sister'n'law all the way out of the park until we were gone. I will not be returning. They need to hire better staff this lady was very rude and umproffesional and obviously doesn't have kids. Its hard enough wrangling a 5 year old but a 5 year old and a tired and hot 3 year old it was completely uncalled for to push us out. Not to mention the gift shop was way overpriced and my nephew got a light up sword that quit working when we got in the car. We kind of figured they wouldn't let us exchange it since we weren't even aloud to watch the farmer talk about cows from outside the barn just because it wasn't our group. The lady could have at least asked nicely and acted like a grown up instead of a snotty girl. Don't waste your money on this overpriced, small facility then you spend 2 hrs at to get run off and talked down...
Read moreMy family and I went to Fiddlesticks Farms on Saturday 10/21. There was 5 of us. Once we got there and proceeded to pay I was shocked at the price. $25 a person!? And as you pay there is a sign posted “apologizing” for not having much of a corn maze this year because of the record heat and drought. So you’re admitting your attraction isn’t the same this year due to unforeseen circumstances yet you still want to charge such a high price??? Shouldn’t there be a discount? Once inside the farm we soon realized there’s just not much to do. You can see cows and goats and pigs. And pay to feed the goats. There’s a slide and a trampoline style jump area. And a tractor that pulls small cars around behind it for kids. $25 per person for that? And of course all food and beverages are extra. I get that. That’s fine. But you have to pay to shoot the guns, feed the goats, etc. Also I went to get some food. I got a sausage on a stick. I asked the young kid if they had any bbq sauce. And the kid replied “what you see on that table is what we have”. And walked off. Ok. Great customer service. My sausage on a stick was cold to the touch. So I took it back and made them aware. And they got me another one but it was just about the same temperature. It wasn’t hot. At this point I was over this place. Ton’s of young kids work here. And that’s fine. That’s great. But a lot of these young kid workers had no professionalism and honestly a lot of them didn’t seem to care to help you out with anything. Very disappointed this time around. To charge $25 a person with limited attractions and knowing one of your main attractions isn’t the same is unacceptable in my opinion. It’s sad to say but we won’t be back or recommend to family...
Read moreMy family and I went on October 29th, which was the date for the last fireworks show and the trick or treat through their corn maze. This was our second year in a row going, and I was so disappointed this time around. First, they had a candy cannon going that shot out MAYBE 30 pieces of candy. The crowd waiting for this was HUGE and it was being hyped up continuously. It ended with several crying children and many upset parents. Then, we had to wait in line for almost 30 minutes to go down the large yellow slide. After this, we went to the corn maze for trick or treating to begin. My kiddos got 2 dum dum pops. They had to run off the end of the line because they did not have enough candy to accommodate the guests. Then, we figured we would at least wait for the fireworks. So I took my two little ones to play in the sand box. While in the sandbox, they had the joy of playing with ancient rusted out Tonka trucks. When we decided to finally pull the plug was when the family next to us sat down and literally started lighting up joints. We left before the fireworks and got ice cream to ease the kids meltdowns on the way home.
Next year, I think it would be wise to put a cap on how many tickets you can sell for events like this. Such a disappointing waste of money. Also, we did not see one pumpkin at the entire...
