Midland, Michigan's Plymouth Park is a wonderful community asset, offering a wide range of recreational opportunities to people of all ages and a broad spectrum of physical capabilities. Recreational infrastructure includes several playground areas, ballfields, open fields for impromptu or organized sports and games, picnic pavilions and the beloved outdoor swimming pool. Plymouth Park abuts single family residential areas, at least one church and a middle school. It offers those neighbors open vistas with continually changing, and interesting, activities. In turn, the neighbors' casual observation provides a measure of security for park visitors. Dangerous or unsociable actions are likely to draw the attention of others who can readily summon public safety responders. Plymouth Park is accessible from numerous entrances on the City's street system, and the park's circulator road connects to ample parking areas near each major activity site. Park facilities are well maintained and carefully repaired, should the need arise. Periodic upgrades have kept recreational settings in top condition. As residents of different communities, my family members have been drawn to Plymouth Park's collection of attractions for decades. We have always felt welcomed by park staff members and people who also were enjoying the park. It's nice to know that such an enjoyable place is available for people living in or visiting the area...

A park to let the young ones run wild, it has a smaller kid area slightly separated from the main playground. There are benches for tired parents and children to rest at, some picnic tables are available on the fenced in play place(if I remember correctly), along with a covered shelter/pavillion a couple yards away, bathrooms available under the pavillion.

Pavillions can be rented out for parties. Basketball court is right next to pavillion and playground, and volleyball court is just behind the play place.

The playground its self is a very fun area to run, lots of slides to go down, different ways to get up to the top are available, one way is ramp, another way is some stairs and yet another way is some rope ladders. Sand boxes are almost always littered with lost toys and buckets. Different sets of monkey bars are available, along with different swings for all ages.

Playground is roughly inhabited by kids ages 4 years old to 15 years old on the regular. Most older kids are aware of the younger ones while playing but it still may be best to watch your child so they dont get hurt, either by an older kid tripping on them, or by your kid falling themselves.

Over all this playground has lots of shade, lots of different things to do, and lots of space to sit down and rest....

Such a fun and unique play structure that offers numerous slides, tunnel slides, swings, a sandpit, monkey bars, a moving bridge, climbing structures, and more. The terrain is mulch, sand, some turf, and concrete. The play area is mostly fenced in with two entrances. Downside is that there is limited visibility on both entrances at the same time, so if you have a kiddo that tends to wander, make sure you watch extra closely. There is a separate area inside the play structure with one entrance that is intended for smaller children. It is easy to sit on a bench near that entrance and watch a child in the smaller area. In addition, as fun as this large play structure is, its large size and many fun play hidey holes can also make it tough to keep eyes on kids. It is also a popular city park and gets VERY busy on a beautiful weekend. There is a covered shelter close by with flush toilets. There is also a gaga ball pit. Within the same park is Plymouth Pool ($) and a volleyball pit, baseball fields, and a lot of green grass area...

This is a really huge park and it reminds me of the wooden park they torn down in bay city by the water. That park was the one that we would always go to and now we have a very similar park to go they has most of the same things is is the same size. I would highly recommend this park for your kids. And there is even a pool right next to the park that cost 5 dollars for kids and 6 for adults that would be good to cool off after a day at the park.

Fantastic facility for family fun! I have a new swimmer who was ready for a bigger pool experience. The life guards and cashiers were all pleasant. The pool was clean and spacious! Great shallow end and deep enough for the advanced swimmer as well. We had a great time and enjoyed this park tremendously. So clean, fairly priced, and well maintained in the way of mechanics. Loved that it was large enough not to feel crowded. Great park!

Best park around since I was a kid and that's a long time Shhhhh 😂 Also they have added a lot to it in the past year or so. I dragged my teenager there the other day and I seen her smile more then a few times . Even as an adult I had fun. They have part's labeled for age's and the area's are mostly fenced off. Its nice so you don't have to worry about an older kid running over your toddler.
