I’ve got to hand it to Midlothian, they know how to build a community park 👏. This park is equipped with everything the community would need and want. Let me break it down:
3 playgrounds 1 splash pad 1 tennis court 2 half basketball courts 4 volleyball courts 5 baseball fields?(roughly) 1 football field
I couldn’t even count the number of soccer set ups they had. They strategically placed the playgrounds near the event fields for those little kids who don’t give a hoot about their siblings sporting events. Parents will love it here!
The walk here isn’t too strenuous, there are little to no steep inclines. Even though it’s not difficult, the walking trails are lengthy. They have to be in order to fit all of the play areas within it. They had poop bag dispensers along the walkways for us dog lovers.
I loved the tribute to military/veterans. ❤️ Fitting that into the design of the park was a brilliant idea and a wonderful way to honor true heroes.
If I had one complaint, it would be to add one more tennis court. 🥹

Read moreThis is a very nice park but folk's please be aware of auto break-ins which have been occuring by way of Smash and Grab. My whole window was smashed in and my purse taken as we did one lap around the walking trail in broad daylight with only a few cars parked within a wide open parking lot. Hopefully the camera that we parked by was working and captured the incident to help bring forth an arrest of the perpetrators involved. Inspite of the Smash and Grab thefts that have taken place on the premises of the Park ground, I still highly recommend this park. Thieves are gonna be thieves no matter where you are. Just remember not to leave anything valuable in your vehicle that can be quickly grabbed in a matter of seconds. A small slip up can cost you valuable...
Read moreI love this park! It has a variety of amenities for each persons needs. I came to the grand opening and the show was spectacular. I really enjoy the splash pad. There’s lots of shade under the trees (I would suggest to address the ant issue). I don’t particularly like the area of the sidewalk at the splash pad that’s going towards the pond because of the mud that builds up there. It’s a great place to have a picnic. Restrooms could use more ventilation as it can get nasty and muggy in the summertime. Parking is spacious and easily accessible. My son & I always...
