We picked this park to hike last weekend because it was the closest hiking park to us. My husband really likes to hike, while my children are all about the playgrounds. Unfortunately, there was not a playground here so we just did the hike. The hike itself was pretty, but it is all through marshy lowlands along a river, so the hiking trails were infested with mosquitoes. I would consider hiking here again during the winter, but considering the amount of marshy land (mosquito breeding area), I would not go here again during the spring summer early fall. Read moreNot a fan, I think this park is very unkempt and seems a bit neglected... At the beginning it looks mowed but as you go deeper the path becomes quite cluttered. I really wish this park was as kept up as Byers Woods. That park seems a bit too over-groomed... I think efforts could be better spent making pathways at this park. A loop to the parking lot would be nice. I also wouldn't mind seeing that old bridge highlighted. The biggest issue for me is the number of dead trees so close to the path. Read moreThe trails when we started were very nice and mowed. As we went along the river they started to become a bit over grown. Mosquitoes were very bad. When we got to the trail that was supposed to take us back to the trail head it was overgrown. So we tried a different way. Got so far on that trail and boom overgrown again. Ended up lost and using gps to find Rt 603. Had to walk along someone's field. (Not a fan of trespassing) Finally found the road and had to walk about a half mile on a dangerous...
