Hannah Park is a wonderful park for all to enjoy. My family and I go there almost daily to walk the path. When you walk the outer perimeter path the distance is approx 0.8 miles long, but you can get more distance by adding in loops around the pond in the back and mixing up the walk is various ways with the other paths that bisect the park.
There is a mix of uses always taking place on the path from walking, jogging, running, and sometimes biking but those are mostly children and not fast adult cyclists. The paths are very well maintained by the wonderful Gahanna Parks Department despite efforts (or lack thereof) of some people that don't clean up after their dogs, but that is rare from our experience.
Other activities at the park include basketball, tennis, pickleball, a large playground, baseball, soccer, and catch and release fishing. The very large shelter house is rentable and very well maintained. I have witnessed it in use by rather large groups and when their usage window is over the parks team is there very soon after to make sure it is all ready to go for the next group. The restrooms are also some of the best park restrooms we have encountered and also very well maintained.
One suggestion to the park maintenance department would be to add in a few more trash cans around the path for folks to dispose of pet waste. Last week we saw that someone had went to the effort to actually bag up their dog's waste and tie the bag closed, but they just sat it in the grass on the side of the path where it sat for at least 5-6 days. It was very strange to go through all of the effort doing the needed gross parts, but not just take the baggie to the trash. Anyway, a few more trashcans would...

Read moreThis is a nice park, sort of tucked away on the outskirts of town. This park has a playground that's great for children. I don't think it's small enough for toddlers, based on our experience, unless it was not very busy and they're care taker was suoer ready to run and play. The are bathrooms near the front and they were open. They are a bit of a walk from the playground, but nothing unreasonable. There are basketball hoops, a baseball diamond which I saw a lot of dog owners using as a dog park (due to it being fenced in). I find this quite gross and would suggest you watch your step! There's a gaga ball pit and at least 2 soccer fields, too. There's a good amount of parking in the front and rear of the park. It also has a paved waking path which goes around the perimeter and goes around a pond and...
