We came here to go mountain biking. It was a great trail. Signs all along the trail so you don't get lost. There is a vault toilet restroom which was very clean. It was a fairly easy trail. Some spots had a lot of rocks. There is not a ton of parking. It felt safe. Clean. There were hikers, bikers and horses the day we went.

I did the Capulín Canyon Trail (40) on foot. Starting north the trail was very soft, pineneedles and dirt for the first 2/3. after crossing the road for the return segment there were patches of volcanic trail that were not as smooth. It took me about 2 1/2 hours. The trail is pretty flat with no major elevation changes.

We came here to go mountain biking. It was a great trail. Signs all along the trail so you don't get lost. There is a vault toilet restroom which was very clean. It was a fairly easy trail. I do agree with John that the pictures posted by SO are NOT correct for this location. Remote location - no bathrooms and a small gravel parking lot. Cross country trails with great flow. A few rocky sections over/through old lava beds, but not too bad with dual...
