Me and my family attended the Cranberry Township Community Days on Saturday 7/13/24 and were very disappointed and frustrated with our experience. The first shock was seeing the unaffordable cost of playing games and rides. We couldn't believe that it cost $5.00 for one chance to play a game. Others around us were astounded at these prices as well. How is that affordable for a family going to enjoy playing some festival games with kids? The most horrible experience we had was at the horizontal rope ladder game. My husband climbed it successfully and was picking out a prize for our daughter with permission from the festival worker who was there, when another festival worker came running over yelling "NO NO NO NO NO!" and said that he didn't win because you can only climb on top of the ladder and cannot climb it by holding onto the underside of the ladder. It said nothing about this on the paper posted in front of the game. We had just watched a girl climb it prior to my husband the exact same way and got a prize. This festival worker continued insisting and yelling at us to leave and said he was shutting down the whole game for 1 hour. I asked him for his name and he told me to "go to hell" and when I asked for his name again he said it was "Monk." He seemed like a person in charge because we noticed him at various games and food vendors. My 4-year-old daughter was standing right there as well as many other kids to observe this awful behavior from this man. Why did he have to shut the game down for an hour? Because too many people were winning and getting a prize and they were losing money? Not a good look at all for Bartlebaugh Amusements.
We were just so disgusted with the overall rudeness of many of the workers we encountered and I'm certain there have been more complaints about this, and reading through other reviews I can see this is the case unfortunately. I hope that a different friendlier and more cost-efficient vendor is used in years to come or we won't be attending any longer. I would much rather take my kids to church festivals that are much more affordable with friendly people than deal with miserable workers with...
Read moreI had the pleasure of meeting Dave he was apparently the owner of this organization they're more concerned about making money than the safety of children willing to put any size child on any ride but forcing parents to buy tickets to accompany him rather than the safety of the child. eThy claim all Riders must purchase a ticket for insurance reasons but have no problem putting a 30-pound three-year-old on a spinning ride that goes out of control but they demanded a parent pay your physical ticket. They responded to the problem of the parents should be in charge of the child and they don't care if a parent where to send a child on their rather than doing what is right. No concern for safety or integrity for doing what is right children are at serious risk when these ride these rides. Shame on Cranberry Twp do conducting busobusi with an unexpected ethical business like this. As a member of the community you expect vendors with integrity to be sourced for these events and not just a money grab. It is only a matter of time berbef a small child is hurt on a rife because of lack of safety regulations and...
Read moreThe rides they provided to the Butler County Farm Show 2023 were the worst I have seen in carnivals and fairs in years. The rubber on the bumper cars was all dry rotted and they had no power hardly to move. You really had to bang foot pedal to get cars to move even. The scrambler ride was from the sixties. The ferris wheel the operator of the ride had to stop it by hand and he had to push it alot to get it to start going. The double shock ride felt like it going to fall apart and kill everyone on it.. it's a shame when the best adult and older kids ride was a tilt a whirl.. The operators were friendly. And talking to some of them even said how old some of the rides were. The lights on the rides had more not working then we're working. It goes to show that Bartlebaugh Amusements is clearly falling apart from when I was a kid because they care more about the money going into the owners pocket then maintaining and fixing their rides. Very piss poor...
