A nice park that has White Deer Creek flowing through it. The park encompasses 8 acres and has picnic areas and a primitive outhouse facility. Extensively wooded, this park is a nice place for hiking, birdwatching,and fishing. This park is surrounded by state forest and game lands and there are extensive trails located in the proximity of this park. There is also an organized group camping area in this park that I think is administered through nearby R.B. Winter state park. I saw once that this is classified as the least visited state park in PA and with its lack of amenities and isolated location I could see why. Read moreThis park is more of a picnic spot. There are several tables in a lovely clearing next to a creek. It was one of the quietest parks I have visited yet. There's parking for about 8-10 cars but no trash cans or restroom facilities were obvious. There was one grill and a place for hot coals. The notice board has a spot for the PSP Passport stickers. Read moreThis is a pleasant picnic spot with a nice section of the White Deer Creek running very close by. The real hiking is in the Bald Eagle Forest which surrounds the park. Find this park off of Route 192 and McCalls Dam Road. I approached it from the dirt and gravel White Deer Creek Road which was rough on my vehicle.
