Read moremy dog and I LOVED IT! we went with my brothers this time but will DEFINITELY be coming back and bringing my partner here too with our sketchbooks. I really enjoyed all the options of terrain here and scenery there were woods, bridges, meadows, riverside, and even a short sanded area. There's a cool lookout spot where you can see pretty far and high up. Saw a sign for wildlife to look out for and I didn't see much but would love to try to see a muskrat or some more musk turtles. There are also tons or benches and rest stops too which is always nice when you need them. Overall a good experience and im glad to have a new place to go on hikes...
Read moreBeautiful area, so many trails love the wheel chair bridge that I just discovered about 2 weeks ago when I went. Only thing is saftey is a little issue, nearest state officer when 911 was called was 30 minutes away. I recommend carrying a stick or another weapon, a guy was following a young mother & her toddler daughter she ran out into the parking lot yelling help. My dog & I were just finished up, I was over by the trash to throw his poop away. I find it completely unacceptable there were no officers closer didn't have to be state police. What if nobody else was there or in that immediate area?...
