A magical place to host an upscale dinner party with an unbeatable view. We recently celebrated my wife's 30th here with 25 friends for dinner and camping(option for glamping). We had a personal chef come and use the new commercial kitchen located in the new Farm to Table Teaching Center building. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything needed to cook for large groups and can seat up to 30 inside with plenty more room on the modern deck. We chose to eat down by the yurt which is located about 50 yards from the kitchen and looks directly out over the ocean. After dinner, we sat by the fire to enjoy the evening a little more. Those of us that camped were in awe of the view the next morning and made our selves at home in the dome which has everything you need to fix a hot gourmet breakfast. The campsite is set away from the ranch by a 1/4 mile behind a group of cedars so you feel you are the only ones on this secluded shoreline. I worked with Jesse who is the operations manager there. He was very communicative and helpful as this was my first time planning this size event. Gabe was onsite the day of and took complete care of us. If you are looking for a place to wow your guest not far from the city this...

It has a lot of heart, but its not designed to entertain, but rather to teach or help people experience farming. You'll see a lot of people milling about working, and you won't know what to do unless you ask someone. It's public land and always open, but it feels like walking around on a rustic homestead or in a commune where your distant cousins live and you're completely welcome but not quite part of it. Eighteen people live on the land year round, with a few seasonal teachers who guide disadvantaged youth in learning farm-to- table living. I think their goals are wonderful and meaningful. I just want to point out that it's not an amusement park, but a working educational center with minimal guidance or...
Read moreSlide Ranch makes the joy of outdoor exploration and farming accessible to everyone! Incredible for families (littles, too!!) to stop by unannounced for a wander or to participate in programming. Milk a goat. Hug a chicken. Hike to the tide pools. S’mores on the coast while camping. What could be more amazing? A MUST visit for local and visiting families/people/folx — and a place to keep returning as you build relationships with the land, the animals, and the warm community. I L💚VE...
