Worst ski experience of my life. I called the day prior to ask about tickets and if they were reserved tickets. The lady told me tickets are not exclusive to a date and its first come first serve. To get there early because they close the gate when they reach capacity. Apparently capactity means 100,000 people. There was at least 2000 people at the park today. We got there at 8:45 and still had to wait an hour in the prepaid ticket line to get our passes, then another hour to get rental equipment. The rental equipment process is complete chaos, no instruction from any staff on what to do. Had to figure it out ourselves where to go and what to do. From waiting in those two hour long lines guess what was next? MORE LINES. This place is small, I have skied all over this country and never, on any day at any resort ever, have had to wait more than ten minutes to get on a lift. The smallest line of the day was 25 minutes and that was at 11am after we finally got our passes and gear. But the. people kept coming in! We were able to make a grand total of 8 runs the entire day and spent 5.5 hours waiting in lines. After we spent 2 hours getting our passes and gear, and by 2 PM we had done a grand total of 3 runs, guess what was next? MORE LINES! We then had to wait a half hour to order food, which I will admit is good, but because the place is obviously over capacity there was no where to sit with our meal. After standing to eat our food we then had the awesome experience of being able to stand in more lines to use the restroom. Then, after that line we were able to put our gear on and once again go stand in line to ski, which at this point was now a 50 Minute wait to go up the next lift. This place is nothing but a money grab greed fest from the owners. The Skiing experience is not a concern for ever owns this, the main priority is obviously to get as many people in as possible regardless of whether they will have a good time or not. Everyone was complaining about the wait. By 5pm when we had given up on skiing and realized they need to rename this place perfect north wait in line Skiatorium, They had no skis left, no boots left, no poles left, but yet people were still coming in.
So to sum it up, if you like waiting in long lines to get in, waiting in long lines to get gear, waiting in lines to use the bathroom, or even better waiting almost an hour to ski for a 2 minute run, this is the...

This is our second time to this facility in the past month. I am the only one who has ever skied in our family of five. Our three kids are 10 & under. It has been years since I have been to the North Carolina mountains, so I can't compare recently, but I think this place is fantastic!
Beginners- lots of bunny Slopes with multiple carpet rollers. Even some longer runs to get use to that were green. I taught my wife and our three kids off the various bunny slopes (lessons were packed). Learn the "wedge", how to stop, how to turn, and how to get back up and you can grow from there! Great success! The Far Side, Ella Mae, and a couple other blue runs were almost the equivalent of a green as well for those ready to slowly step up.
Intermediate & Advanced - I didn't count the trails, but lots of options and lifts! If you "only" do black diamonds, this isn't your place. For the other 99% of us, multiple parks, including a youth style terrain park, plus large jumps. Plenty of fun to explore.
Tips *Saturday is the busiest 2-6p.m from what we observed. But not so busy you shouldn't go as most of us can't go weekdays! Don't let that stop you as we have been between Christmas and New Years and on a Saturday and both were busy but not annoyingly so. Lines move well and longest we waited was 10-15 mins during peak time on the highest chair lift. *Lines - chair lift lines often have two entrance sides (right /left). Don't just assume both sides are the same wait! Take the extra 20 seconds and ski to the side where the least amount of people are coming from and you'll add a few extra rides on your day ;) *Food - I believe this place will let you bring in your own food (multiple people did) but the food here is all great! It's pricey but not call-your-lawyer pricey. Helps that it all taste good. *Great lodge! Lots of space! Big chimney fire, outdoor seating on sunny days (lots of people ate outdoor - 50° when we were there), lots of fire pits, great night time skiing with lots of lights *Website- Buy online to save a few bucks and skip the long "Day of" ticket lines. Great snow reports on website to see amount of trails open. We have skied on 50° & 60° degree days after a cold front and 21 of 23 trails were open both times.
That's all I got! We will...
Read moreOverpriced and oversold. My husband and I joined a friend for snow tubing on 02/19/24. Talk about sticker shock! $78 for the two of us to go tubing for two hours. Ridiculously long lines and understaffed. The teenage staff members were only allowing one tube down at a time in the three different sections, even though each section had 5 or 6 lanes. When we went snow tubing in North Carolina, all the lanes were used at once and the lines kept moving at a good pace. In two hours, we managed maybe 7 trips down the lanes. The teens working the slopes were unprofessional, loud, and complaining to each other about their jobs. At the Super Slopes section, we waited in line for 20 minutes only to be told by a staff member, "This line is for three tubes at time. No single riders." Thankfully, the teenage boy manning that section said, "I'm just letting y'all know. Management keeps telling me to turn people away but I know you have been waiting in line, so I will let you and your husband go on through." The teen was clearly stressed about being told to turn people away (management had not put up any signs saying those slopes were for for three or more people only), so I thanked him for allowing us to ride the slope and told him I was sorry he had to deal with such poor, inefficient management. We paid $78 to tube and should not have been denied access to certain slopes due to the fact we had two people instead of three in our party. There were plenty of lanes available, but staff would not use them. They would use one lane at a time as hundreds of people waited in line. It was totally ridiculous. Snow tubing is loads of fun, but I recommend going elsewhere. Perfect North is overpriced, poorly managed, terribly inefficient, and a rip-off. Don't...
