Nice and good hike... Def a wonderful day to just get out and enjoy scenery. The sky was beautiful. Trail well marked easy to find not to challenging and beautiful hoyt lookout. Def reccomend taking the side quest of wild flower loop. Not muddy other than 1 small area. But well taken care of trails and the grassy entrance was wide and mowed. Def reccomend this if your up for a hour and change to get out get some exercise. Peaceful for sure. Even woody areas like wildflower was really maintained and preserved. Def will go to it again as it was a nice hike for the day

Great little hike at The Eagle Mountain Natural Area is a 226-acre parcel of land adjacent to the shore of Lake Champlain. The land was donated to the Town of Milton by the Lake Champlain Land Trust (LCLT) in 1998. Over the last century, farming, recreation, and logging were the principal uses of the Eagle Mountain Natural Area landscape.

We are not from the area so this was beautiful because Vermont is beautiful and I'd love to have it in my backyard. But honestly, not a terribly special hike. We traversed every single trail to make it to 2 miles total. A few decent views onto the lake. Family of four, 13-y-o girl said it was boooooring. 😅

I did not know you could rate hikes/parks etc. A new world is opened.

This place is great for a family. It's more of a walk than a hike, but its enough for little legs, and if you extend the loops you can get a stretch in. In the winter, the view from the summit is great. In the summer, try the lookout.

I enjoy the fields near the parking lot as well, its hard to find a park in VT that has some wide-open grass spaces. More than once, during off-season hikes, we've seen deer and hawks, foxes and rabbits. In the summer the kids like to admire the farm equipment.

Most important, the people I meet along the way seem friendly and respectful, and I rarely find garbage or unfortunate pet bi-products along the way. I do my part to keep it clean, and it seems like everyone...
